Comparing mirrors by photograph and price alone leaves important questions unanswered. Use this checklist to compare quotations on the same basis and prepare your home correctly.
1–3: Product definition
What are the exact finished dimensions and orientation? Which materials and finish are included? Does the quoted size describe the glass, frame or maximum product envelope?
4–6: Lighting and controls
Which light colour or selectable settings are available? Is brightness adjustable? How are the light and optional features controlled, and does the mirror remember settings after power is switched off?
7–8: Site preparation
Where should the concealed electrical point be placed? What wall support, mounting clearance and professional electrical work are required? Ask for this before tiling or final wall finishing whenever possible.
9–10: Price and delivery
Does the written price include GST, packaging, delivery and installation, or are these separate? What access information is needed for large mirrors, high floors or narrow staircases?
11–12: Service and warranty
What warranty period applies, what is covered and excluded, and how is a claim raised? Who performs installation and after-sales service in your location? Keep these answers with the invoice and final specification.
