LED Mirrors: 100 Questions, Answered

Glass, glow, hanging, care and warranty—plus practical buying questions for Delhi NCR and every Indian state and union territory.

Mirrormanship illuminated capsule mirror in a styled interior

A good mirror starts with a clear brief: where it will hang, how you will use its light, and what support comes with it. These 100 answers help you plan an informed Mirrormanship enquiry.

Start with the installation locationMirrormanship’s current written warranty specifies dry indoor installation only. Bathrooms, shower and wash areas, high humidity, steam and moisture-prone locations are excluded. It states five years for non-commercial use and two years for commercial use, subject to conditions, and excludes glass. Read the full Warranty Terms before choosing a location. General lighting features do not override these restrictions.

01 / Glass, lighting & features

1. What is an LED mirror?

An LED mirror combines reflective glass with integrated lighting. Depending on the design, the light faces the user, creates a glow behind the mirror, or does both. It can serve as a practical dressing mirror and a decorative feature.

2. How is an LED mirror different from a regular mirror?

A regular mirror relies on room lighting. An LED mirror adds a built-in light source, although its brightness, controls and effect vary by model. Compare the complete specification before deciding which suits your space.

3. What should I check before buying an LED mirror?

Check dimensions, reflection quality, light distribution, controls, mounting requirements, permitted installation location and written warranty. For Mirrormanship, confirm that the intended position is a dry indoor space before approving your order.

4. Which mirror glass does Mirrormanship use?

Mirrormanship uses Saint-Gobain and MODIGUARD mirror glass in its range. Confirm the glass brand and specification for your selected design in the written quotation; do not assume every model uses the same glass product. Read the mirror quality guide →

5. Do Saint-Gobain and MODIGUARD manufacture the complete Mirrormanship LED mirror?

The glass brand and the finished LED-mirror brand are different. Glass sourcing does not establish who supplies the LEDs, driver, frame or controls. Mirrormanship’s written warranty governs its finished product, subject to its conditions.

6. How can I confirm which glass is used in my mirror?

Ask Mirrormanship to identify the glass brand and specification in your order confirmation. Keep this with the approved dimensions, lighting options and invoice so the complete product specification is recorded.

7. Is Saint-Gobain or MODIGUARD better for an LED mirror?

Compare the particular glass products and the finished mirror rather than choosing by brand name alone. Reflection, processing, edge finishing, lighting, mounting and service support all matter; neither name alone establishes that a complete mirror is best.

8. Does branded glass guarantee a longer-lasting LED mirror?

Glass is only one part of an LED mirror. Electronics, assembly, installation conditions and care also influence its useful life. In particular, branded glass does not override Mirrormanship’s dry-indoor installation requirement or glass warranty exclusion.

9. What is the difference between a backlit and a front-lit mirror?

A backlit mirror directs light toward the wall, creating a halo. A front-lit design directs light through illuminated areas facing the user. Some mirrors combine these effects; judge the illumination at your face as well as its appearance on the wall.

10. Which LED mirror is better for makeup or shaving?

Look for even face lighting with comfortable brightness and limited shadows or glare. For a Mirrormanship mirror, plan this use in a dry dressing or grooming area. Ask for a demonstration of the chosen design’s light output.

11. What do warm, neutral and cool light mean?

These describe the colour appearance of the light. Warm light looks more yellow, neutral light is more balanced, and cool light looks whiter or bluer. Choose it alongside the room’s other lighting rather than judging it in isolation. Compare lighting colours →

12. Can an LED mirror change between light colours?

Some models offer adjustable colour temperature. Mirrormanship’s range presents warm, natural and cool lighting options, but the selected model and order specification determine which settings and controls are included.

13. Can I adjust an LED mirror’s brightness?

Only models with a compatible dimming system support this. Confirm the controls for the exact mirror and ask whether an external wall dimmer is permitted. An incompatible dimmer can cause poor operation.

14. What is CRI and why does it matter?

Colour Rendering Index describes how faithfully a light source renders colours against a reference. It helps compare lighting for makeup and clothing checks. Request a documented value for the actual model rather than assuming all LED mirrors have the same colour rendering.

15. Can an LED mirror light an entire room?

That depends on its output, the room size and other fixtures. Treat mirror lighting as one layer in the room’s lighting plan. A decorative halo does not necessarily provide sufficient face lighting or general illumination.

16. Do all LED mirrors include touch controls?

No. Controls may be touch buttons, sensors, wall switches or another arrangement. Confirm the selected model’s controls, their position and any memory functions before planning the electrical point.

17. What is an anti-fog or demister mirror?

In products designed for it, a heating element helps reduce condensation over a designated area. This does not make the complete mirror waterproof or establish bathroom suitability. Mirrormanship’s currently published warranty restricts its mirrors to dry indoor installation.

18. Do all LED mirrors have an anti-fog function?

No. Lighting and demisting are separate features. Do not assume a feature is included or that it changes the permitted installation location; obtain the complete model specification and follow the written use conditions.

19. How much electricity does an LED mirror consume?

Use the actual rated wattage and operating time: watts multiplied by hours, divided by 1,000, gives kWh. For example, a 30-watt load used for two hours consumes 0.06 kWh. This example is not a Mirrormanship model rating.

20. Can I use an LED mirror during a power cut?

The glass still reflects whatever light is available in the room. Lighting and electronic functions require power unless the particular product has a supported backup arrangement. Do not assume a battery is included.

02 / Size, design & suitable rooms

21. What size mirror should I choose for a dressing table?

Measure the clear wall, furniture width and space around nearby shelves and switches. Choose a size that gives the intended users a comfortable view. Check the complete frame dimensions and mounting clearances, not just the glass dimensions. Use the size guide →

22. Is a round mirror better than a rectangular mirror?

Round mirrors soften straight lines, while rectangular designs can provide a wider viewing area. Choose according to your furniture, wall proportions and routine. Marking both outlines on the wall helps compare their scale.

23. Where does an oval or arch mirror work well?

Oval and arch mirrors can suit bedrooms, dressing spaces, halls and other dry indoor rooms. Compare the usable reflection area with the overall dimensions. A decorative shape should still give a comfortable view for its intended use.

24. Can I order a custom-size LED mirror from Mirrormanship?

Mirrormanship offers made-to-order mirrors around approved specifications. Share your required dimensions, shape, lighting and installation location, then obtain written confirmation of feasibility, pricing and production details before approval. Prepare a custom design brief →

25. Can an LED mirror be installed horizontally or vertically?

Only when the construction and mounting system support that orientation. Confirm the intended position before production because controls, hanging points and decorative details may have a fixed layout.

26. Are Mirrormanship LED mirrors suitable for bathrooms?

Mirrormanship’s currently published warranty specifies dry indoor installation only. It says bathroom, wash-area, wet-area and high-humidity installation voids the warranty. Choose a dry living room, hall, bedroom or dressing area and check the written terms before ordering. Read the installation restrictions →

27. Are LED mirrors waterproof?

Do not assume that an LED mirror is waterproof or that a component rating applies to the complete assembly. Mirrormanship’s current written terms exclude wet-area use; the presence of LEDs, touch controls or branded glass does not change this restriction.

28. Can a Mirrormanship mirror be installed inside a shower area?

No: the published installation conditions state that the product is not intended for shower areas, water splashes, steam or direct water contact. Choose a different product explicitly approved for such a location and have its electrical installation assessed professionally.

29. Can I use an LED mirror in a bedroom or dressing room?

Dry bedrooms and dressing areas are among the locations identified in Mirrormanship’s warranty conditions. Plan comfortable brightness, a suitable electrical point and a mounting system that supports the mirror’s weight.

30. What should hotels, salons and commercial buyers check?

Confirm that the proposed location is dry and that the design suits the daily operating hours. Mirrormanship’s published terms reduce commercial-use warranty coverage to two years. Ask about service access, installation and compatible replacement components before bulk ordering.

03 / Handling & cleaning

31. How should I unpack a new mirror?

Follow the supplied instructions in a clear, protected work area with enough trained help for the mirror’s weight. Keep sharp unpacking tools away from glass, backing and cables. Do not install a visibly damaged unit.

32. What should I inspect when my mirror arrives?

Check the glass, edges, frame, packaging and supplied fittings. Mirrormanship’s refund policy asks customers to report visible damage, missing items, defects or an incorrect product within two calendar days; this reporting request does not remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.

33. How should I lift and carry a large mirror?

Use trained handlers and equipment suitable for its weight and dimensions. Do not lift by electrical cables, touch controls or decorative parts. Plan the route through doors, lifts and stairs before moving it.

34. How should I store a mirror before installation?

Keep it protected in a dry, secure location and follow the supplier’s instructions for support and orientation. Prevent unstable leaning, impact, pressure from stored objects and exposure to renovation moisture or dust.

35. How do I clean an LED mirror?

Switch off the lighting and follow the product’s cleaning instructions. Use a clean, soft cloth with minimal approved cleaning liquid, keep moisture away from electrical openings, and dry any damp edges promptly. Read the care guide →

36. Can I spray cleaner directly onto the mirror?

Apply a small amount to the cloth instead unless the product instructions say otherwise. Controlling the liquid helps keep it away from edges, frames and electrical components. Never soak or hose down an LED mirror.

37. Which mirror-cleaning products should I avoid?

Avoid abrasive tools and harsh chemical cleaners. MODIGUARD’s published guidance recommends clean water or mild cleaning agents and warns against sharp tools and strong acidic or alkaline products. Follow the finished mirror’s care instructions as well.

38. How can I reduce streaks after cleaning?

Use a clean cloth and a minimal amount of approved cleaner, then finish with a separate dry cloth. Wash or replace cloths containing grease or grit. More cleaning liquid does not necessarily give a clearer finish.

39. How should I remove hard-water marks?

Ask the supplier for an approved method before using descalers, vinegar or abrasive treatments. Water marks can also indicate unsuitable exposure; Mirrormanship mirrors should not be installed where splashes, steam or moisture are expected.

40. Why do mirrors sometimes develop dark or black edges?

Deterioration of the reflective backing may appear near the edges, with moisture, chemicals or backing damage among the possible causes. Ask for an assessment rather than assuming a cause. Mirrormanship’s terms exclude moisture-related damage and glass from warranty coverage.

04 / Hanging & electrical installation

41. How do I hang an LED mirror safely?

Have an installer assess the wall and use the specified mounting system with suitable fixings. A qualified electrician should handle mains connections with the supply safely isolated. Confirm that the location satisfies the product’s dry-indoor requirements. Review the installation checklist →

42. Can I hang a heavy mirror on plasterboard?

Only with a mounting solution suitable for the weight and underlying wall structure. Have the installer assess the construction; fixings intended for masonry are not automatically suitable for plasterboard.

43. Can I install an LED mirror on a tiled wall?

A tiled finish alone does not establish either load capacity or location suitability. The installer must assess the supporting wall and concealed services. For Mirrormanship, the tiled wall must still be in a permitted dry indoor location.

44. Can adhesive alone hold an LED mirror?

Use adhesive-only mounting only if the finished-product instructions explicitly allow it. The method must account for the complete weight, backing compatibility and future service access. Follow the specified brackets or mounting system rather than improvising.

45. Can I use ordinary silicone to attach a mirror?

Use only an adhesive approved for the specific mirror backing and mounting arrangement. A generic silicone label does not establish compatibility. MODIGUARD publishes material guidance, but the finished mirror’s installation instructions must also be followed.

46. How high should a dressing mirror be hung?

Position it for a comfortable view for the intended users, allowing room around furniture, sockets and other fittings. Mark the outline and viewing height before drilling. There is no single height that suits every mirror and room.

47. Do I need an electrician to install an LED mirror?

Use a qualified electrician for hardwired connections and changes to the electrical supply. Confirm the connection type before delivery. Mirrormanship currently lists installation at ₹2,000 per mirror, inclusive of GST, with location and appointment arrangements to be confirmed. View installation and service information →

48. Can I cut or drill a finished LED mirror?

Do not modify it yourself. Request the required dimensions and openings before production. Cutting or drilling can damage the glass or electrical assembly, and unauthorised modifications can affect warranty coverage.

49. Why does my reflection look distorted?

Possible causes include glass characteristics, an uneven support surface or mounting stress. Ask the supplier or installer to inspect it; do not randomly tighten fixings or bend the mirror to correct the reflection.

50. What should I do if the LEDs flicker or stop working?

Switch the mirror off and contact service with the order details and a description or video of the fault. Do not open live parts or fit an unapproved replacement driver. Ask for the appropriate inspection and repair procedure.

05 / Warranty, repairs & returns

51. What warranty does Mirrormanship provide?

The published terms state five years for non-commercial use and two years for commercial use, subject to conditions. They specify dry indoor installation, exclude glass and identify electrical-component coverage. Read the complete Warranty Terms before purchase; this FAQ is a summary. Read the full Warranty Terms →

52. Does the warranty cover glass, LEDs, the driver and touch controls equally?

No. The written terms say warranty coverage is for electrical components and exclude glass as a fragile item. Ask how a particular component and fault will be assessed; do not assume removal, installation or transport costs are included.

53. Does branded mirror glass mean the complete mirror has a glass-manufacturer warranty?

No automatic complete-product warranty should be inferred from the Saint-Gobain or MODIGUARD name. Mirrormanship’s finished-product terms apply to its sale. Any separate manufacturer coverage would need its own applicable written documentation.

54. Is accidental mirror breakage covered under warranty?

Mirrormanship’s published warranty excludes glass. Transit damage is addressed separately through the refund policy, so report delivery damage promptly rather than treating it as ordinary warranty coverage after use.

55. Are black spots or dark edges covered by warranty?

The published terms exclude glass and damage caused by moisture, condensation or high humidity, including black spots and de-silvering. Contact service with photographs for an assessment; the FAQ does not promise coverage for a particular fault.

56. Is water damage covered by the warranty?

The published terms exclude water, steam, moisture and humidity-related damage. They also state that bathroom or wet-area installation voids the product warranty. A touch sensor or lighting feature does not change these conditions. Check the dry-indoor conditions →

57. How do I make a warranty claim?

Email service@mirrormanship.in with your invoice or order number, product details, location and photographs or video of the issue. Preserve the product identification and provide safe access for inspection. The written terms state that charges apply when warranty service is requested in a different state from the purchase bill.

58. Can LEDs or a driver be replaced without replacing the whole mirror?

That depends on the design and the fault. Contact Mirrormanship for an approved service assessment and compatible parts. Its published service information lists ₹2,000 per out-of-warranty visit inclusive of GST, with repair parts additional where needed.

59. What should I do if my mirror arrives broken?

Keep away from loose glass and report the damage promptly to service@mirrormanship.in. The refund policy requests a report within two calendar days, including the order number, photos of the product and packaging, and an unpacking video if available. Do not install the damaged mirror. Read delivery-damage reporting terms →

60. Can I return or cancel a custom-made mirror?

Mirrormanship’s refund policy generally excludes change-of-mind returns for products made to approved specifications. Cancellation depends on production stage and may involve deductions. Damaged, defective, incorrect or otherwise legally eligible orders are addressed separately; read the policy before approval. Read the cancellation and refund policy →

06 / Delhi NCR & buying across India

These answers help you plan an enquiry across India; they are not a claim of a showroom, delivery or technician coverage in every location. Confirm your PIN code, installation arrangements and service costs before ordering. Bengaluru and Bangalore, and Hubballi and Hubli, refer to the same respective cities.

61. How do I choose the best LED mirror in India?

The best choice fits your room, lighting needs, budget and permitted installation conditions. Compare written specifications and service terms. For a Mirrormanship enquiry, share your dimensions, dry indoor location and PIN code so suitability and delivery can be confirmed. Explore LED mirror designs →

62. How do I choose the best LED mirrors in Delhi?

Compare reflection, usable face lighting, dimensions and the complete quoted cost. Mirrormanship buyers should confirm dry-indoor suitability and delivery or installation for their Delhi address. Ask for model-specific details rather than relying on a generic best-brand claim.

63. What should I check when buying LED mirrors in Delhi NCR?

Confirm arrangements for the exact address in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad or Faridabad. Delivery, installation and later service may have different coverage. NCR crosses state boundaries, so also check the warranty’s out-of-state service-charge condition. Enquire with your address and PIN code →

64. How do I choose an LED mirror in Bengaluru or Bangalore?

Check the wall dimensions and access through apartment lifts, stairs and doorways. Confirm delivery to the unit and who will handle installation. A Mirrormanship mirror should be planned for a dry bedroom, dressing area or other permitted indoor space.

Provide the PIN code and ask about packaging, final delivery and local installation arrangements. Confirm how electrical components would be serviced after delivery. Get the selected model’s dimensions and mounting requirements in writing.

66. What should LED mirror buyers in Andhra Pradesh consider?

For Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada or another destination, confirm delivery and service separately. A coastal address does not establish product suitability: Mirrormanship’s terms exclude high-humidity and moisture-prone locations, so discuss the actual indoor conditions before ordering.

67. How can I choose an LED mirror for Arunachal Pradesh?

Share the exact address and access details before requesting a transport estimate. Confirm the final delivery point, package size and local handling responsibilities. Ask how damage reporting and after-sales support will work for your location.

68. What should I check when ordering an LED mirror in Assam?

Confirm serviceability for the actual PIN code in Guwahati or elsewhere. Ask about packaging, delivery responsibilities and replacement-part support. Select a dry indoor installation position and avoid assuming every room has suitable environmental conditions.

Request the weight, mounting instructions and component-service arrangements. Buyers in Raipur, Bhilai and other locations should establish who will install the mirror. Delivery availability alone should not be taken as confirmation of technician availability.

71. Which LED mirror should I consider for a property in Goa?

Start with the installation environment. Mirrormanship’s terms exclude wet areas and high-humidity locations, so do not assume a coastal bathroom or damp room is suitable. Hotel and salon buyers should also review the two-year commercial warranty condition.

72. How should I compare LED mirrors in Gujarat?

Compare equivalent dimensions, lighting options, controls and warranty conditions. Confirm delivered pricing for Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot or the actual destination. For coastal or damp properties, discuss the dry-indoor restrictions before approving the order.

73. What should buyers in Haryana check before ordering?

Ask about coverage for the specific address, whether in Gurugram, Faridabad or elsewhere. Separate mirror, delivery and installation charges. Check which state will appear on the purchase bill and how the warranty’s out-of-state service condition applies.

Plan the delivery route into the building, including stairs and any narrow access. Agree on carrying and installation responsibilities before dispatch. For hotels, confirm commercial-use terms and a suitable dry indoor location.

75. What should I check when buying an LED mirror in Jharkhand?

For Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad or another address, confirm delivered pricing and support. Ask whether a repair can be handled through a replaceable component or requires moving the mirror. Keep the approved specifications and invoice.

76. How do I choose an LED mirror supplier for Karnataka?

Verify service for your actual city rather than assuming statewide installation. Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru and Hubballi may require different arrangements. Share your room conditions, dimensions and PIN code with the enquiry.

77. What should I consider when buying an LED mirror in Kerala?

Assess the intended room’s moisture and ventilation before choosing a product. Mirrormanship’s current terms exclude bathrooms and high-humidity environments. Confirm suitability for your dry indoor position, and ask about delivery and service for the exact address.

78. How do I compare LED mirrors in Madhya Pradesh?

For Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior or another location, compare the same size, lighting and control options. Request separate delivery and installation details. A lower headline price may omit services or features included in another quotation.

79. What should buyers in Maharashtra check before ordering?

Confirm building access and carrying arrangements, especially for large mirrors in apartments. Buyers in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur or Nashik should establish delivery and service for their address. Avoid moisture-prone installation positions under Mirrormanship’s written terms.

80. How can I order an LED mirror for Manipur?

Ask whether the seller can deliver to your exact address and what the transport quotation includes. Confirm packing, estimated timing and the damage-reporting process. Establish a practical installation and electrical-service plan before payment.

81. What should I consider when choosing an LED mirror in Meghalaya?

Assess persistent dampness before ordering. Mirrormanship’s installation terms exclude high humidity and moisture-prone spaces, even indoors. Ask about the actual room conditions, delivery access and support rather than assuming indoor placement alone is sufficient.

82. What should buyers in Mizoram check before purchasing?

For Aizawl or another location, confirm last-mile transport and the final delivery point. Share stairs and doorway measurements for larger designs. Agree on safe handling and who will install the mirror before dispatch.

83. How do I choose an LED mirror for Nagaland?

Check delivery and installation arrangements for the exact address in Kohima, Dimapur or elsewhere. Request the product’s weight and mounting requirements. Confirm the process for service enquiries after the mirror is installed.

85. How should I compare LED mirrors in Punjab?

Compare reflection quality, usable face lighting and serviceability alongside price. Confirm installation for Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar or your actual location. Salon buyers should review commercial-use and operating-hour conditions in the warranty.

86. How do I choose the best LED mirrors in Jaipur and Rajasthan?

Match the shape, scale and lighting to a dry indoor room, then compare written specifications. Confirm delivery and fitting for Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota or your address. Custom dimensions should be approved before production. Browse the catalogue →

88. How do I choose an LED mirror in Tamil Nadu?

Compare the size, lighting controls, mounting system and permitted environment. Confirm installation and support for Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli or your actual destination. Do not assume a bathroom installation is covered by Mirrormanship’s warranty.

89. What should LED mirror buyers in Telangana consider?

Confirm the wall size, electrical connection and installer responsibilities before production. For Hyderabad apartments or properties elsewhere, provide access and scheduling details. Ask for a written breakdown of the product, transport and installation charges.

Request delivery confirmation for your PIN code and an itemised quotation. Check packaging, transit-damage reporting and electrical-service support. Agree on the approved specification and a suitable dry indoor installation position.

91. What should I check when buying LED mirrors in Uttar Pradesh?

Coverage may differ between Noida, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi and other destinations. Confirm delivery, fitting and after-sales service independently. For NCR purchases crossing state boundaries, review the warranty’s service-charge condition.

92. How do I choose an LED mirror for Uttarakhand?

Share access details for the property, including stairs and the final transport route. For hill locations, establish whether additional carrying is included. Confirm installation in a suitable dry room and ask how future service will be arranged.

93. What should LED mirror buyers in West Bengal check?

Compare the complete specification and support process. Confirm delivery and installation for Kolkata, Howrah, Siliguri, Durgapur or the actual address. In damp rooms, resolve suitability before purchase because Mirrormanship’s terms exclude high-humidity installation.

94. Can I order an LED mirror for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands?

Availability must be confirmed for the specific island and PIN code. Ask about freight, packing, delivery responsibilities and the damage-reporting process. Also confirm that the intended room meets the product’s dry-indoor environmental restrictions.

95. How do I choose an LED mirror in Chandigarh?

Measure the intended position and compare equivalent models and feature sets. Confirm whether delivery, fitting and electrical connection are included. Check the purchase-bill location and any implications for service outside that state or territory.

96. What should buyers in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu check?

Specify the actual destination, such as Silvassa, Daman or Diu, rather than only the union territory. Confirm freight and service arrangements. For moisture-prone properties, check suitability against Mirrormanship’s dry-indoor installation terms before ordering.

Compare the product specification with delivery and support arrangements for Jammu, Srinagar or your address. Confirm safe handling, lead time and installation. Choose a dry indoor position and request written approval of custom dimensions.

Confirm transport, the final delivery point and the product’s operating conditions for the intended room. Ask how electrical repairs or replacement-part delivery would work. Agree on access and handling requirements before dispatch.
